Zoning Hearing Board
The Youngwood Borough Zoning Hearing Board is a five-member Board. This body is a Quasi-Judicial Body whose authority is granted by the Municipal Planning Code of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The term is a five-year staggered term. Local authority and guidelines of operational decision are established by the Youngwood Borough Zoning Ordinance.
Meetings are held on an as-needed basis (if an application is received) at the Borough Building, 17 South 6th Street, Youngwood, PA on the second (2nd) Tuesday of the month beginning at 6:00 PM.
Duties and Responsibilities
To accept, review, hear testimony and act on all applications received for Zoning matters such as special exceptions, variances and appeals from the Zoning Officer's determination.
