Youngwood Borough has partnered with Republic Services to offer to residents at no additional cost a curbside automated recycling service.  Please make sure your recycling bins are placed at the curbline free from obstructions in a three foot area.  Should you have any questions about this program please contact Republic Services customer service at 1-877-788-9400.  Below is the 2026 recycling schedule.

There are two blue dumpsters with lids for recyclable materials located at the Public Works Complex.  Recyclable materials would include: newspapers, phone books, plastics with #1 & #2 in recycling logo, cardboard, aluminum, tin, etc.  Please be certain to remove recyclable items from bags prior to placing them in the bins.  The bags are not recyclable and will cause all of the recycling to be considered contaminated.  Absolutely no glass may be placed in the bins. Please only place recycling materials listed above in the bins.

TV's, computer monitors and laptops are banned from disposal in landfills and are not to be placed curbside.  To schedule a pick-up for a TV, please contact Republic Waste at 877-788-9400.  For all other electronics and items with cords to be recycled please contact Westmoreland Cleanways at (724) 836-4129 for hours of opperation or visit westmorelandcleanways.org

Yard waste will no longer be accepted at the Borough Maintenance Building.
