Curbside Recycling Information

Youngwood Borough has partnered with Republic Services to offer to residents at no additional cost a curbside automated recycling service.  This service will replace the 5 gallon recycle bins that were previously used.  Please make sure your recycling bins are placed at the curbline free from obstructions in a three foot area.  Should you have any questions about this program please contact Republic Services customer service at 1-877-788-9400.  Below is the 2024 recycling schedule.

Drop Off Recycling

There is an additional drop off point for recyclable materials located at the Public Works Complex.  There are two blue dumpsters located just inside the gate for the Public Works Complex, the area is marked with a sign indicating what is accepted.  Recyclable materials would include: newspapers, phone books, plastics with #1 & #2 in recycling logo, cardboard, aluminum, tin, etc.  Please be certain to remove recyclable items from bags prior to placing them in the bins.  The bags are not recyclable and will cause all of the recycling to be considered contaminated.  Absolutely no glass may be placed in the bins.

We are also able to accept used motor oil to be recycled.  Please leave containers with only motor oil next to the main garage door in the rear of the main building.

Please call (724) 925-3660 for additional details.
